Good Friday Service

Easter is the celebration of life and love. The story of Jesus is a story of love. When we look at Jesus’ life—his miracles and teachings, how he treated those around him—we see a clear picture of the way of love that we are called to. At the cross as we see him die for the sins of humanity, we see the cost of love paid for each of us. At the empty tomb, where death was defeated, we behold the victory of love. This year, we invite you to come celebrate Easter with us at Rochester Church. This is the story of Jesus. This is love.

 

A solemn Tenebrae service ("service of shadows") that tells the story of Christ's journey to the cross and tomb through scripture readings, music & songs, and a series of extinguishing candles, featuring special musical guests. Staffed nursery available (6 months-2 years).
